The Affordable Care Act is anything but affordable. Those middle class Floridians are paying an exorbitant amount of their income to cover their families. In addition to the premium, most plans have deductibles that range from $5,000 to $10,000. This is not affordable.
In addition, Florida has only one provider in the government marketplace. That one provider is not accepted by nearly 50% of the doctors and specialists in Florida. So how is this possibly helping the healthcare system of the United States?
We need to stop the rhetoric, stop the name calling, stop the broken promises and take action on reforming healthcare so that all Floridians and citizens of the United States have access to quality healthcare. I believe there are many ways to accomplish this, but we need to take action NOW to begin the process of working together to keep our country healthy.
